Providers should always conduct business electronically with BCBSF. A wide range of self-service options are available, including the following clinical tools:

Clinical Topic	Electronic Self-Service Solution	Allows Provider To
Payer Based Health Record	CareProfile	Access a consolidated view of a patient's claims information from multiple payers for two years of history. This clinically relevant information complements the physician's own medical records and can be viewed by the physician at the point of care for better-informed decision-making.
Online Patient Communication	eMedicine	Securely communicate online with patients.
Electronic Prescribing	ePrescribing	Electronically access a member's drug formulary, eligibility information and medication history at the point the physician issues a prescription. The physician can also transmit the prescription to the patient’s pharmacy of choice.
Formularies	Epocrates	Access a drug reference tool through free mobile and web-based touch points.
